About Me

My name is Damir Govorcin, and I'm a Sydney-based photographer. Having spent more than 20 years as a journalist in magazines and newspapers, I was always fascinated by the way a photo could tell a story in its own right.

It wasn't until around three years when I bought my first camera - a Canon 600D - that I first started my journey into photography.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and a quest to delve further into this great art-form.

Developing my craft has seen me shoot portraits, fashion, landscapes, sport and cultural festivals.

I have been hired to cover milestone events such as 21st birthday celebrations and Holy Communions.

Everyone has a story to tell and my aim is to convey that through the images I create, which will leave lasting memories.
